I'm Margeaux Groene, a licensed counselor in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and a Board-Approved Supervisor in Virginia. This work is personal to me. It always has been.
Why I do this work
I grew up in Tidewater, Virginia and came to this field through a combination of education, personal experience, and a deep pull toward the kind of work that actually changes things. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and a BA in Organizational Communication from Calvin College.
My early career was shaped by intensive clinical environments: PHP and IOP work at Caron Treatment Centers and New Paradigm Recovery, alongside clinical work at Synergy Counseling. Those foundations built in me a trauma-informed approach I carry into every session today.
I have a profound personal connection to the journey of recovery, and that drives my commitment to walking alongside clients doing the hard work of healing, whether that is processing trauma, managing anxiety, navigating substance use, or simply trying to understand themselves better.
